Over the past five years, Music Generation Carlow has hosted 'Music @ Mount Leinster,' a celebration of traditional Irish music which brings groups of young musicians from around Ireland together with leading professionals for a week of workshops, ensemble rehearsals, seisiúns, masterclasses and performances. The festival was born out of a strong culture of traditional music in Borris and is now firmly established on the county’s trad music calendar. Before the sixth festival, we looked back on previous years of this inspiring musical experience in Borris, County Carlow. Scroll on to see the photo gallery.
The 2020 festival took place from 17-21 February. The lineup included the Festival Musicians' Concert on Tuesday 18 February at 8pm and a Gala Concert featuring seven groups of young musicians on Wednesday 19 February at 7.30pm in The Step House, Borris, Carlow.
