On Sunday, March 16th at 9:30pm, TG4 will show a special music programme called Geantraí – An Ghlúin Úr. The gala concert, titled Le Chéile, was filmed during Galway TradFest in November 2024 and was produced by Music Generation Galway County. The festival is a new initiative that celebrates traditional music and arts. It represents a gateway of access and opportunity for children and young people from Galway and beyond.

The concert will feature performances by renowned guest artists such as Sharon Shannon, Beoga, Pauline Scanlon and Niall McCabe alongside the young performers.

Over 200 young musicians from across Ireland will perform at the concert. These musicians come from Music Generation's Galway County, Kerry, Laois, Waterford, and Wicklow. Together they are the Music Generation Trad Collective. They were joined by choirs from four local primary schools who are part of Music Generation Galway County.

Watch it live on TG4 or TG4 Player. International viewers can stream it live or watch it back on the TG4 Player worldwide!

"Playing with an orchestra is an amazing experience – we’re all from different places, but together, we create something beautiful. Music truly connects us all." Dylan Joyce, Young Musician, Music Generation Galway County
