Music Generation Carlow is delighted to announce the launch of its first county-wide Instrument Bank.
Since September 2013 Music Generation Carlow has been working towards a facility for children and young people where they can rent an instrument throughout the academic year. Now that facility is finally here. MGC is offering children and young people the opportunity to apply for the loan of an instrument for a small rental fee, by filling out the application form which is available on the link below.
Please note that applications will only be considered on a ‘first come first serve’ basis as there are limited numbers of instruments available in the three libraries which will host the instrument bank (Carlow, Borris and Tullow libraries).
Instruments on offer include the following- cello, double bass, trombone, trumpet, violin, viola, concert flute, saxophone, clairnet, ukuele, guitar, bodhran, concertina and accordion.
Please read the application form (available here) carefully and note the differing rental prices for each instrument.
If you would like to apply for an instrument or for more details on MGC’s Instrument Bank email Orla Colleton at ocolleton@kcetb.ie or contact Music Generation Carlow's office on 059-9138532.
All applications must be sent to: Orla Colleton, Music Generation Carlow, KCETB Offices, Athy Rd, Carlow
