Music Generation Offaly/Westmeath has announced a brand new initiative as part of Singfest 2018, which will see hundreds of singers of all ages and abilities come together for the first ever Midlands ‘Community Come and Sing Day’!
Developed in partnership with the Association of Irish Choirs and Creative Ireland, the ‘Community Come and Sing’ welcomes local choirs, choral societies and individuals interested in singing to spend the day with the Singfest Choral Team on Sunday 13 May.
Participants will enjoy a jam-packed day of workshops and rehearsals in Athlone Institute of Technology, concluding with the largest ‘Big Sing’ that the Midlands has ever seen!
The day forms part of the 2018 Singfest programme, an ambitious choral initiative that gives young singers access to exceptional musical training and singing opportunities. You'll learn a little more about the project on this short documentary, created by Music Generation Offaly/Westmeath:
Singers are advised to register early as places are limited. Registration is now open online, and further information can be found at www.musicgenerationoffalywestmeath.ie
