Celebrate World Children's Day through music and be part of the finale of We are Music Generation 2024!

In 2024, thousands of children and young people from communities across Ireland took part in We are Music Generation - a year dedicated to celebrating the transformative impact of performance music education on the lives of children and young people.

So far this year:

  • Over 800 young musicians came together for the launch of We Are Music Generation at the Convention Centre Dublin, transforming the space into a hub creativity, energy, and music.

  • Thousands of young people have been involved in a range of exciting events – from festivals and busking sessions to gigs, orchestral performances, and even songwriting retreats.

  • Hundreds of partners, Musician Educators, and friends came together at our National Conference and National Musician Educator Gathering.
  • So many new pieces of music have been created, including Nasc 24’s fusion folk orchestral works with Lisa Canny, the ICO’s collaboration with composer Bill Whelan, and the Sounds of Semple’s ‘Tipperary Haka’, created by Ireland’s first-ever Hurley Orchestra!
