This Sunday, 26 March Music Generation Laois will travel to An Grianán Theatre, Letterkenny, to take part in ‘Orchestra Afternoon!’ – a major musical collaboration with Donegal Music Education Partnership (DMEP).
This special concert will feature the Laois School of Music Youth Orchestra performing a new work, ‘In My Back Garden’, composed and conducted by Elaine Agnew. There will be established classical and Irish favourites from guest singers at DMEP as well as performances by Laois Trad Group, Lonrach, under the direction of Siobhán Buckley. Donegal Youth Orchestra will also perform a new work created and conducted by composer Vincent Kennedy.
