Music Generation Sligo Summer Camp - Sligo Jazz Project Youth Academy
Tuesday 22 – Saturday 26 July: 10am - 4pm, St Edward’s National School, Clarion Road, Sligo
Suitable for ages: 10-18, Musical Ability/Level: Grade III or equivalent, Cost €100 subsidised rate for 10 Music Generation Sligo places
Music Generation Sligo in partnership with Sligo Jazz Project. This camp is open to players of all instruments and to vocalists. 5 days of Workshops and Instrumental Masterclasses including theory & rhythm training. Participants will also have the opportunity to be part of Jam
Sessions at 6pm each day and participate in the SJP Big Bash Sunday afternoon concert.
Tutors: Cathal Roche, sax: Linley Hamilton, trumpet: Brian Priestley, piano: Mike Nielsen, guitar.
Included is lunch in the school from Tuesday to Friday and a festival pass to the main Sligo Jazz Festival concerts each evening at 8pm Tues 22 - Sat 26 July.
