IPad Music Summer Camp
Venue: St. Kilians Community School, Ballywaltrim, Bray, Co. Wicklow
Date: Monday 8th June to Thursday 11th June
Time: 11.00am – 2.00pm
We have 15 second level students registered to take part in a four day workshop incorporating music arrangement, instrumental and voice alongside learning the latest aps and programmes such as Garage Band that will equip them to further develop their music and arrangement/production skills.
The course is facilitated by Paul Maher of Simply Music.
Traditional Music:
Venue: Further Education Centre, Blessington
Date: Monday 29th June – Friday 3rd July
Time: Monday & Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning 10.30 – 1.30.
Our summer school will run for two afternoons and three mornings for young traditional musicians. We have three workshops, beginner, intermediate and advanced and are delighted to enrol young musicians playing tin whistle, accordion, fiddle, bodhrán and other instruments. Our Music Generation Tutor Karen Johnston alongside local tutors Eimer Casey and Rachel Conlan will bring the young people through a series of new tunes, styles and exercises in a relaxed atmosphere of fun and learning. The young musicians have the opportunity to perform in a concert in the local Parish Centre on the final evening.
