Music Generation Louth is a music education service that provides a range of opportunities throughout the county for children and young people to learn music. It is part of Music Generation – Ireland’s National Music Education Programme, initiated by Music Network, co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, the Department of Education and Skills and Local Music Education Partnerships.
Music Generation Louth is managed by the Louth Music Education Partnership, a sub committee of the Louth and Meath Education and Training Board. Create Louth provides local partnership income; Louth and Meath Education and Training Board and Dundalk Institute of Technology provide support in kind.
A range of exciting new positions have been created within Music Generation Louth to assist with the development of the following programme areas in schools and regional centres in the new academic year, 2016/17:
Resource Posts (full time/half time)
Ideal candidates will hold appropriate third level qualifications in music and/or music teaching and will demonstrate a high degree of relevant skills and experience in administration, musical performance and teaching.
