Lunchtime Launch of the RTÉ New Year’s Eve Project, Milk Market
Month of December
After a hectic first few weeks for the MGLC ensemble, in which they performed at launches for City of Culture, the Special Olympics and Music Generation, and visited a wide range of secondary schools and community centres, connecting and engaging through the power of groove, the musicians are now preparing to let off a little steam with a roving musical Christmas party.
Ditching the amps, drum kits and mics in favour of guitars, ukuleles and hand percussion the musicians have worked up a fun set of Christmas songs that can be brought anywhere. The first visit will be to St. Gabriel’s Special School this Friday 13th, with more pop-up Christmas concerts planned over the following two weeks.
