Clare native, Emer O'Flaherty joins Music Generation Clare to lead the project as Music Development Officer. Emer has worked with Clare County Council for the last number of years as Oifigeach Forbartha Gaeilge where she has been leading the co-ordination and promotion of Gaeilge in the County on behalf of the local authority, as well as responsibilities in the area offices in Scariff and Westbury.
An accomplished singer, musician, and accompanist, Emer has worked with choirs, musical societies and soloists. She is also a composer having written and toured her own bilingual solo show for piano and voice, and has taught music in Ireland and Canada. A past pupil of Ennis Community College, Emer holds degrees in Law as well as a Masters in Irish Media Studies along with her qualifications in Drama, Voice, Piano and Flute.
