Job Opportunity: Music Generation Sligo seeks Music Tutors

Music Generation Sligo wishes to expand their panel of Music Tutors.

Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for inclusion on a panel for opportunities which may arise across a broad range of programmes for delivery in 2014-2015 including:

- Discovering Music Early Years Programmes, Parent & Toddler, Child-Care and Pre-School settings
- Discovering and Performing Music, whole class instrumental tuition and music theory, at Primary and Post-Primary level
- Instrumental and Vocal Tuition, all instruments and choral-vocal styles, all genres, during and after school
- Easter, Summer and Occasional Camps and Workshops, including music composition and music technology

Successful applicants will be placed on a panel and offered a Specified Purpose Contract when opportunities arise for their particular area of expertise. Music Generation Sligo programmes are constantly evolving and responding to needs and demands of schools, youth groups, community groups and young people. Music Generation Sligo also takes into account particular skill sets of tutors when designing programmes. Tutors may work on one or more programmes at any given time.

Music Generation is a national music education programme for children and young people, initiated by Music Network, funded by U2 and The Ireland Funds. Music Generation Sligo is part of the network of local music education partnerships established under this programme, funded and managed locally by Mayo Sligo Leitrim ETB, Sligo County Council, Sligo Education Centre, Sligo County Childcare Committee, Cranmore Regeneration Project, the Department of Environment & Local Government and the local music sector.
