New terms are beginning this January at Music Generation Mayo tuition centres with new members signing up across the county including Crossmolina, Ballinrobe, Rossport and Louisburgh. The classes, which are open to students at all music levels, offers the opportunity to be tutored by professional musicians in a range of instruments including piano, guitar, drums, saxophone, flute, fiddle and voice.
Also, Music Generation Mayo’s early years music programme Soundworlds, delivered in partnership with Mayo County Childcare Committee will commence a new round of delivery in 10 childcare services throughout the county from February. Initiated in 2013, this programme aims to introduce younger children to music, and helps them to bring music in to their everyday activities in pre-school. In addition to their music learning, the programme is also proven to build their self-confidence, creativity and self-esteem.
