Music Generation Limerick City has an array of exciting events and performances starting on 2nd May and running until 5th July:
- May 2 , Riverfest: Mini-tour of the city! The Music Gen Express Bus will take three bands (Little Tents, Locke & Quay and Monday Villains) on a two-leg tour of the city, each band performing 30min sets at both venues. Inflatable Gig at the Hunt (2pm), bands will perform outside the Hunt Museum in and around an inflatable sculptures exhibtion. Dell Cycle against Suicide (6pm) - Performing at the end of stage celebration for 600+ cyclists arriving in the city as part of a national tour.
- May 14, Sport-tourism Summit: King John’s Castle (6pm) Singers from across our programmes will combine into a single choir, supported by the Music Generation Limerick City house band.
- May 17, Band Explosion: Monthly Showcase at Dolans
- May 26, School's Summit at UL Arena: All 12 schools from our National School's programme will perform to each-other and combine to form a 1,000 strong choir and create the largest P.A.R.T.Y in the city!
- May 31, Where the Wild Things Are - An afternoon of musical adventure in the Spiegeltent: Introducing the Trumplets (1pm), The Trumplets are three lovable aliens who live on the Music Gen Express. They will host a special show for 4-8yr olds, featuring friends from across Limerick’s music scene and special guests. Limerick Voices Live (2-4pm) - featuring two hours of seamless live music, on 3 stages, live-streamed in the venue and on Youtube. The family-friendly line-up will include performers of all ages and styles – and a few surprises.
- June 14, Band Explosion: Monthly Showcase at Dolans
- July 5, Teenfest @ Pery Square: One-day teen festival, to be designed by teenagers.
