Limerick's City Hall was the place to be last Saturday 24th May as Music Generation Limerick City participated in a free family carnival which took place on the shores of the Shannon to mark Africa Day.
There were sights, sounds and flavours of African communities as part of a series of events celebrating African Culture at City Hall. Seven teenage bands from Music Generation Limerick City's Band Explosion project kicked off the afternoon, followed by a performance by the Limerick City Children's Choir.
Limerick's young musicians performed terrifically, and added to the vibrancy of the day as they helped to promote a positive image of Africa. Well done to all Music Generation Limerick City participants who performed for Africa Day!
