Thirty young musicians from the Music Generation Louth String Orchestra gave an excellent performance to an audience which included T.D's Jan O'Sullivan and Jimmy Deenihan at the official national launch of the Arts in Education Portal in Dublin Castle.
The Music Generation Louth String Orchestra programme started in 2012 under the leadership of local professional musician and hugely experienced teacher Jayne Graham. In only three years, it has expanded to cater for three levels of young players –Senior Strings, Junior Strings and First Strings and they have won first place at the Newry Feis Ceoil as well as performing for President Michael D. Higgins at the Music Generation Gala concert last October.
